Whenever there is a separation, there is inevitably a degree of uncertainty, unavoidable change and financial upheaval. NRP’s find that they are now having to support two domestic arrangements when their own financial circumstances are at their most vulnerable. The situation can be made significantly worse should the Child Support Agency become involved, for they have no interest in taking into consideration any mitigating circumstance as they are not set up to act as an arbitrator.
When the CSA become involved, the NRP not only has to come to terms with a relationship separation, but the baying demands of an Agency who seek to get financial arrangements in place as soon as is possible. The NRP therefore has to contend with the financial demands of the CSA, often without legal support, no immediate access to trained help and no clear guidance on how to challenge or appeal a decision that are sometimes arbitrarily taken by the Agency.
I am at a point in my fight with the Agency where I may have to go to court to ensure that the Agency returns me to the position I would have been in had it not been for the Agency’s unlawful maladministration. If I do not take this step, then the Agency has free passage to act unlawfully, turn ordinary parent’s lives upside down and avoid being held accountable for their unlawful actions. This cannot be allowed to happen.
Through my blog, you will be made aware of the many injustices NRP’s are forced to endure through the Actions of the Agency. Through my experiences, I hope to explain what options are available to you to seek redress or to successfully challenge an Agency decision. Some NRP’s may even find that they have been subject to the same maladministration that I have suffered and could be due a substantial rebate.
All I ask is that if you have learned something from my blog that results in you receiving a rebate or a reduction in your outstanding liability order, then it would be hugely appreciated if you would consider making a donation (however small) to enable me to continue my campaign that strives to pave the way for further social policy change.
As a NRP who has had his life turned upside down, it is important that we remember that together we are stronger and by being stronger we will make change happen
Warmest regards and appreciation.
